It's the "old" 5.3.. the Gen before the current ones that have 315 hp. Mine's rated at 285 hp, but with the K&N and Magnaflow, I'm probably pushing 300... I'd like to get a PCM tune down the road... Pick up some mileage while I'm at it... :P

hey Pat, here's a mod for your truck.

while i was picking up the kids @ school on Wednesday, i saw this xcab '07 Sierra sitting there. while i rounded the RR corner, for some reason i happened to look down, and noticed that his chrome "tip" had the GMC logo stamped right into it.

i asked the guy about it, and he said it was factory, came with the chrome package (mirrors, handles, etc.)

while i know you're not a big fan of the bling, it would probably make a suttle touch, depending on what that Magnaflow system came with.

just thought i'd pass it along.

have a good weekend.

Went and took a bunch of pictures tonight after washing her...

I'm so happy I took that bug deflector off.

Here's my Magnaflow tip:
GMC stamp would be cool, but the tip's welded on.

Giving her a bath

Tip again

that still looks pretty nice.

i just suggested the stock chrome package tip, since i'd never noticed one before.

besides, a Mangnaflow tip says a little "more" than a premium stock one.

you plan on getting rid of the "Z71" on the rear flanks?

Looks a lot better but I personally still would probably remove the chrome door handle and the trim towards the bottom of the door but that's my personal preference I guess anyways nice looking truck.
