If it's leaking from where the actuator cable goes into the diff, there's no need for a major disassembly. Just remove the three bolts that hold the plate on that the cable is attached to and you can swing it out and make your repair, leaving the diff alone mounted under the truck. Heck, may be able to just unscrew the cable out, but without the cable being able to twist in the process since it's still attached to the actuator above, that may prove to be difficult...
If it's leaking between the axle tube and the diff housing however, some disassembly is required... Don't need to pull the housing out, but the axle tube will need to be pulled in order to seal it back up properly.

Got the filter lines changed Had to jack up the motor so things would clear coming out. Wasn't as bad as I thought. Shiftier seal is another job, have to remove the tube for that. Question: What is going to fall out when I take the other two bolts out? The seal is pressed in from the inside
