Default 1973 HD upper carrier bearing-Missing (Pics)

Anyone know of the part # for this? I have searched everywhere. I am headed to the dealership tomorrow in search of "the old man with glasses at the parts counter" because he apparently can build these things without his glasses.

My steering was ordered (1973) by the original owner as HD, or 3/4 ton...however, NO ONE has been able to locate this Big Foot of a part.

Here are a few pics in case anyone here can help (which I hope you can). It is located under the hood, just prior to entering the firewall. There looks to be a part of the bearing (ring shape) left but all the guts are gone.

Thanks guys. Fingers crossed.

Looks like you have to order the complete shaft. All parts discontinued by the dealer.

wow 200 bucks for that... if you get lucky at a junkyard or maybe even craigslist you may find a steering column for way cheaper then that.

Thats the problem, no one here has these (Tx, dallas and surrounding areas) and I have searched, called and searched some more. Honestly, that is the steering and still didn't cover the bearings I needed. I found a Gates full repair kit (bearings, bushings, seals) online for $30. Hopefully, that should solve the play issue I am experiencing from the firewall situation. I will go ahead and rebuild everything else with the kit too.
