2000 Blazer differential HELP
Hey guys, I got my blazer on ramps, drained all the gear oil, Now will that change the capacity it should hold or will I overfill it, up on the ramps????? supposted to hold about 2 quarts. Or did I drain alot more up there on ramps. I pulled the cover it was loaded w/ crap.. 100k on the clock !!
Where's the front drain plug ? same deal when I pull the drain plug on the ramps is more gonna drain out? Don't want to overfill them !! Any responses will be great. Thanks, Nick

Im assuming you took the cover off and drained all of the fluid. Once you get the cover back on with a gasket, you need to goto the front of the dif, where the driveshaft goes in its going to be off to the side.I think on the passenger side of it. You will see square plug about the size of a nickel. Put your ratchet in it and unscrew. Fill it up until gear oil is coming out of the hole, then put the plug back in.
THIS THREAD has some pictures of the plug that GeorgesBlazah mentioned.
About filling it with it up on ramps... I elevated the front to level out the truck before filling the diff. I would recommend you do the same.
