Default 2000 chevy Blazer PS CV axle

Hello,
I just changed out my passenger side CV axle and couldn't get it to slide in as far as it should have. I am still approx 3/8 of an inch away from full seat and everything I have tried did not help.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Dean

Are you sure the old snap ring came out with the axle? sometimes they can stay in the hole.
