Talking not front diff

so i tore it all apart on friday and im sorry to disappoint you but the differential was fine. got it completely changed and relized the axle was still locked up. got to messin around and figured out if the a arms are completely extended down, then the axles bind up and eventually snap. i have come to the conclusion that because it was an ex government vehicle, it is built with different tortion bars and other suspension odds and ends. because i got it stuck on the frame the a arms extended down and broke both axles. mleh, it was a good day of learning.

I have never seen A-arms being all the way extended bind up the front axles... Do you have a lift on it?

no, there is no lift on it what so ever. normal size 235,75,15 tires. its 100% stock other than the stereo. but yea, when put on jack stands, the front axles bind. you can turn them, but it was really hard. had to use a large pry bar between the studs.

That is not normal at all... I had my old Bravada up on jackstands many times and been able to turn the wheels. Heck, I ran it in drive on jackstands for a bit to try to find the source of a noise I was trying to fix.
