2001 Bravada Rear End

So my 2001 Bravada's rear end is making a constant noise when moving, and with 303K on the clock feel there is a chance that the rear end may be going out. Obviously going to try to check the gear oil, etc, however wanting to get prepped in case its more cost effective to replace the whole unit.
I know I can look at the RPO code in the glove box to get my gear ratio, etc, however I was wondering if there is an identifying mark on the rear end itself that shows the gear ratio. The reason I ask is back in the day I had an Isuzu Rodeo that we had to replace the rear end on and the yard gave me the wrong ratio rear end. Certainly if I can get unit pulled from a Bravada it should be good, but I don't want to trust someones word without some verification if possible on the donor axle before I purchase. If this is out there I apologize as I might have missed it.
Thanks in advance for the help!
