Default 2001 suspension question

New here but been looking the past few days. I'm looking into a nice clean 01 Blazer. Of course I can't leave anything factory so I would want slightly bigger tires. Ive read through a few threads . I've come to the conclusion that 31s will be too much for what I need. Just looking for a better stance and something to fill the wheel wells. So I would probably do a 30x9.5. Would I still benefit from the shackles and torsion bar adjustment? Also I would probably do new shocks at the same time, I can order the factory length if I did shackles? Thanks
