Sounds like we have the same differentials. With the cover removed you can use a tape measure to verify yours is 7.625. An 8.625 ring gear wont fit in the housing. It should also be 28 spine axles. They are most common. I replaced mine last summer with a Yukon Gear and Axle open spider kit. They are reasonably priced, stronger than factory, and made in America. Manufacturer's part #YPKGM7.625-S-28, Summit part #YGA-16049. $113 no sales tax and free shipping. I'm very happy with them. Well, as happy as I can be with a one- wheel peel.
Since the axles are out I recommend replacing the axle seals. Timken # TMS 710166. Cheap insurance. Before reinstalling the axles, make sure to wire brush the rust on the shaft where it meets the seal. Get it as clean and smooth as possible so it can't tear up your brand new seals. Also, if your cover doesn't have a magnet, RTV one on it. It will catch whatever gear chips remain in the housing.

I have a set of 3.42 gears in a wrecked Blazer I'd be willing to sell you. They have new spider gears in them as of some point around a year ago so they definitely aren't brand new but they aren't worn out either. Just let me know if you're interested.

Wow you guys are great here,,,, thanks for the info,,,,, I am thinking I will bring Blaz. in shop and tear it down,,, to make sure on specs. I had a problem with a Dorman Kit with the front differential,,, the kit gear would not slide on shaft,, had to be pressed, on,,,,, I got a gear from GM big $$$$$$ but it slid right on shaft,, so,,, I will just tear it down, and double check parts,,,,,Thank you,,, will be back here to update,,,,
My last adventure: [ but it may have failed again already ,, dunno ? ]
