4wd Headache
Hey all, I recently had my 4wd system on my '01 LS go insane. I did nothing more than a simple fluid change and after that things began going downhill. After the change, I put it in 4hi, it did take a slight while to light up the 4hi button solid, but it did, same thing going out into 2hi. A few days later, I push the 4hi button as a test (I'm OCD so I double check everything, maybe even triple), all three lights go totally dead. So I push and hold 2hi and the button lights up. Now here's where everything gets even more interesting:
I push the 4hi button in every range except neutral, NOTHING HAPPENS. In neutral, I press 4hi, it lights up and blinks along with the 4lo, but the shift doesn't go through. I jumped terminals 4 and 13 on the data link and got code 2, which from what I've read is an encoder problem. Is there anything I should inspect before changing out the encoder motor assembly? And also, did the fluid change have anything to do with this? I doubt it, it could be coincidence, but I'd hate to be wrong...
(P.S. This is a 233 equipped model, as evidenced by jumping terminals to retrieve the system fault code)

Also I forgot to mention my ABS/Brake lights have been on for a few faults in the ABS module and missing rear speed sensor signal, but this did not affect system operation prior.
