Default 4WD Issues

So today I finally went mudding (Pics as soon as I get the myself), and my 4WD kept shutting itself off! Ryan put new lines on it before I bought it last November, and it worked over the winter great. It took a while to get it turned back on each time, but when it did I got myself unstuck while I waited for the F150 guy to get unstuck and get his chain off.. Anybody know what I need to do for it to work properly again?

or how to get my rear passenger door open..

Not even 6hrs... Really??? Come on... Please do not bump a post until it has either moved off the first page of the section it is in or you have waited at least a day.

And you might want to provide more information about your problem. What does "just shut off" mean? Did it come out of 4wd? Did the lights on the dash go out? Have you tried searching for your problem and refined your search terms to get more precise answers? This topic has been discussed before.

That half hour makes all the difference, doesn't it?

And I'm pretty sure 'keeps shutting off' should be understandable that the front wheels weren't spinning when 4Hi/Lo was lit up. No, I didn't search for it, I was exhausted from my long day and didn't even think about looking for it.

There is little reason to be so impatient and even less when you haven't even tried to help yourself... You were much further than a half hour from complying with the rules. If you were that close, I wouldn't have even mentioned it.

And no, 'keeps shutting off' could mean a bunch of different things with these electric 4wd systems. A much better description would have been 'keeps disconnecting'. The better your description, the better the help.

Check out the Tech Article (DIY) section and read through the '4wd no worky' thread.
