Default 4wdh engages by itself?

I did a search on the problem but didnt find anything like this. I am looking at buying a 96 s10 blazer 2dr 4x4 168k miles.. Anyway, one of the problems the guy says it has is any time he goes over 55mph it engages itself into 4wd hi... He said anything under 55mph its fine and stays in 2wd... What would be causing it to do that? And could it possible be something real expensive? Thanks for any input!

Default RE: 4wdh engages by itself?

No ideas at all? Would it be possible to pull the fuse or something so the 4wd couldnt engage at all? and put it back in when I wanted it??
