When I start the car, the lights flash very briefly on the 4x4 switch. The service 4wd light is on on the dash. I have checked all the fuses that I am aware of and none are blown. I had it checked at a shop and they said the encoder motor is ok but the problem is either the Transmission Selector switch or the TCCM. Right now I am waiting the 30 minutes with the battery disconnected to see what it does but not holding out hope it just needs a reset. Not to sure where to go from here except to check all the connectors for corrosion. Any help would be much appreciated.

 

it is a 2000 4 door with the 4 button switch. Forgot to mention that.
