I don't know what went wrong,I switch my 98 blazer lt to 4x4 coming out of my garage and everything was working fine and when I pushed the button back to 2x4 in engaged but in like five seconds something happen,a loud grinding sound started and didn't stop until I put it in park.I stopped the engine and started it back up and put the switch back in 2x4 and the lights started flashing and it when into 4x4 high by itself. Now the blazer drives but it seems like the only wheel pulling is the left front and I here a grinding noise from the right rear like the axle is not fully engaged.I've tried the switch it back to 2x4 but it does the same thing, drive for 5 seconds and then kicks out again. When I put it in 4x4 low it drives fine but I have a hard time getting it back in 4x4 high.Someone please give me an idea what's going on,thanks and God Bless.

Use the search option and read there are several hundred posts on this subject . I'm not trying to be rude , when I have something I don't understand I search first and If I can't find the answer then I'll ask . But you'll have no trouble finding what your looking for , as this is a very common problem . Probably start with your encoder motor , cleam up the electrical contacts in there .
