Default 94 blazer needs new power steering - advice

I took my new blazer into the mechanic to have the oil changed and have them tell me if there's anything that needs fixing. Overall things are good, but one of the things they said was that my power steering was leaking really bad and needs to be replaced. They gave me an itemized list of what needs to be done for the PS...

My truck: 94 Chevy Blazer S10 Tahoe

What they said I need:
  • Power Steering fluid exchange & flush kit - $89.99
  • New Power Steering Pump - $108.76
  • Pressure Hose - $43.62
  • Return Hose - $25.47
  • Labor - approx $550
Although the cost on the parts doesn't seem bad the labor seems really high. So I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with having someone replace their power steering. If I could get the parts cheaper online somewhere. If the labor cost seems normal. Any advice at all.

Thanks

That's what I was wondering. The labor seemed awful high. I got another mechanic on the other side of town that I trust. It's just a pain in the butt to get over to him because of the hours. But if it's going to save me a couple hundred bucks it will be worth it. I'll go over and see him and post what happens. Thanks.

Yea I used to work at one of these places , they work on a commission , and are forced to sell anything they possibly can to you , and if you won't then they'll find somebody that will . I just received a call tonight from a girl that was quoted 650 bucks for rear brake pads and rotors on her chrystler , I told her 50 and she buys the parts . I truly doubt that all that stuff is bad .
