Default 97 blazer making loud squealing noise

I have a 97 4x4 blazer with about 237k miles on it. it started making a squeaking noise on the front passenger side about a month ago. it is noticeable at all speeds but goes away when I apply the brakes. it does not ride rough or anything. if I drive for more than 30 minutes the abs light comes on and the truck will not shift out of second gear.
could this be caused by a bad cv joint, or a wheel bearing possibly? I do not have the money to just take it to a shop so any help is appreciated.
