Default 99+ steering wheel to 98 compatibility

Went through 3 pages of steering wheel posts and did not see this info.
What I'm trying to figure out is whether a 99+ steering wheel will fit my 98. I have the bigger style like the 94-97 model. I'd like to swap out to the newer one because it's a little smaller and mine is kinda crappy anyway. Can it be done without having to any rigging?

The wheels interchange. You may (I can't remember) have to use a different plug end on your airbag harness. On mine I could change the end, it should be able to be disassembled so no cutting is required.

Cool. I'll have to find a good one next time I'm at the boneyard. Thanks!
