abs sensors.

Default abs sensors.

can anybody tell me how many sensors there are for abs( besides the front wheels)on a 1999 s10 4x4 auto, 4L60e transmission, np1 transfer case. I can only see one on the transfer case is that for abs? I think I found one on transmission but that may be for speedo?? ac delco part number for nvg 233 np1 transfer case 15547452 $105.00,part number for transmission 24225896, around $26.00. All data is confuseing me.

Default RE: abs sensors.

You will have one at each front wheel and then one on the rear output from the transfer case.

24225896 is the transmission output speed sensor.
15547452 is the transfer case output speed sensor that is be used for the rear wheel antilock system. This sensor is also used for the speedo. The ABS system gets this speed reading from the PCM. Figures that it is the more expensive one...
