Default aftermarket steering stabilizer

1986 2.8L s10 blazer 4x4

Just noticed in my chiltons book that the 2x4 vehicles came with a steering stabilizer where the 4x4s dont. I do however have the bracketry all in place. Is it worth putting in an aftermarket stabilizer?

I put one on my 97 4 door. Depending on how crappy the roads are or how often you off road, it will make a huge difference.

i am building it to be a light to moderate offroading machine, so if I put it on, it should help then.

Its all a trade off, I looked into one for my bravada. It will make good street use slightly worse because it stiffens, but will improve offroad use.

we have poor quality roads where I live very bumpy, and uneven with the road crown changing constantly and sharply.

It has improved my street use drastically under those conditions.
