Hi I was just curious how long everyone runs their stock bilstein shocks? I'm not sure if mine need replaced they got 97,000 miles on em.

By 97k unless your roads are as smooth as a babys bottom they should be changed. They arent that hard to change, as long as you have some arm strength. The fronts are torqued pretty good plus age doent help them any either.

I've got 175K on my stock Bilsteins and they are just fine. When you start to notice too much bounce and body roll or them leaking, that is the time to change them. NOT based on milage.

thanks for the help. yeah thats what I kinda thought I know bilsteins are very good shocks and I thought they lasted longer as long as they weren't leaking or broke.

Mine has the original Bilsteins, at 147,xxx miles and 12 years, still doing their job.
