Hahah yea man. I touched my passenger side link and it crumbled. I pulled apart the other side with a pair of pliers. Gotta get the moogs. They are much thicker than oem. Ill get some pics for you.

Well, attempt #1 failed. The top nut/washer is rusted onto what is left of the bolt. Looks like it is time to buy a pipe wrench.

If it's rusted that bad then yeah, just get on it with a pipe wrench and break the bolt if you have to. Most end link kits come with all new hardware anyways.

Hell, the bottom of the bolt is gone. You can imagine my surprise when I got under there & noticed that the sway bar was unattached!

Just as an update for anyone interested, I have had to put this job on hold for a bit. Everything was so rusted, seized, & corroded that it made an "easy" job ridiculously hard. I am borrowing a sawzall for the links. They are obviously the originals & damn near impossible to get off of there any other way. I did manage to get the passenger side shock replaced & plan to give the driver's side another go too. I am not used to working on these old, dirty cars....but I am enjoying it. Just wish I could have a little more success. Haha

Hey if they are really that corroded, try pulling them apart with a pair of pliers. Thats what I did with mine and they came out easily. If not just soak them in pb blaster and try again

I tried the PB Blaster, but it is hard to get ahold of them. Plus, I am kind of excited to cut them off with a sawzall!

The saw made quick work of the link bolts. They were completely fused together. I also managed to get the shocks switched out too. Add to that the new tires I had put on last night & she is driving smooth as silk. Now it is time to just slowly nurse the front end back to 100%. I am eventually going to have to replace everything up there, but she drives real nice right now!

Picked up some used side mirrors (mine are in bad shape) & tail lights (Driver side tail light is busted on mine) for $40 off CL. I thought that was a pretty good deal, as they are all in good shape. Now just need to get some time to get them on the truck.
