Breaks are soft!
So last week my passenger hub bearing blew apart on me on the highway. Got it towed and after getting both hubs, rotors and an abs sensor replaced, I finally got my truck back. Now being almost 4-5 days after, my breaks have lost all stiffness... Still work, but feels like I did a break job and forgot to bleed the lines. Checked the reservoir and noticed it was empty! So filled it with dot 3, pumped again, and had to fill it a second time.... Looked under, no leaks. Watched the break booster and reservoir while the wife pressed the brakes, and the reservoir itself moves slightly in and out with the compressions... any ideas? Is this normal for a lil play? Doesn't come off or anything.... Just moves like a lung...
so problem solved.... been keeping an eye on everything... and it was just an idiot at the shop that didnt top up the fluid after the bearing blew and ****ed the the rotor... now i got a weird sound a first applying the brakes... sounds like air in the lines...
