Default Bypass ABS?

So a couple weeks ago i was driving and when i hit the brake i felt as though i felt my abs kick back one little tiney hit, and i thought i saw my abs light on for a second out of the corner of my eye, but when i looked straight on it was off so i passed it off as nothing. then later down the road i was driving and my abs light came on and stayed on. Then when i was brakeing gently the abs was kicking back. i wasnt slinding or anything, snow has been gone for weeks, and the road was dry as a bone. and i pulled the fuse and the problem stopped.

So im assumeing that my abs is shot, and i dont really care weather or not i have abs, but the problem is that in pulling the abs fuse the cruise control stopped working, i put the abs fuse back in and i got the cruise control back. so im wondering if there is a way to just disable my abs, so i can keep my cruise control? or is this possibly an esay (prefferably cheap) fix? But like i said i do not care if i do or do not have abs, this is the first vehicle ive owned that had it, so im used to driving with out it in slippery conditions.

Why not just pull the code and see if it's an easy fix, first? Quite often it's a wheel sensor.

Omg, I feel so stupid, please excuse my stupidity, I completely forgot about checking for the code(s). It's been a long few weeks at work.

Yes, usually rust/dirt falls over the optical sensor in the wheel hub for the ABS to work, if it turns out that's what it is, just purchase a new bearing assembly. With the fuse out, you loose ABS (obv) Cruise and torque converter lock up!
