Depends on how far the cable moves... we established that the vacuum works but we dont know how far the actuator pulls the cable.

thats possible the cable is not being pulled enough to engage the front axles

thats what happened to my truck till i replaced it

So I go out and measure how far its being pulled in and if its not being pulled in enough, can i replace the cable or does that mean that actuator under the battery needs replaced?

depends if the cable is not locking the front axles the cable has to be seized or something

what you can do is disconnect it from the vac diaphram and pull it manually then lock it with a pair of channel locks

then test the 4wd

Ahh ok. I never thought about that. KK Ill check it tomorrow. Do I pull it out all the way til it stops?

yup i think its about 1/2 inch or 3/4 if i remember right

Cool!! Thanks for the tip!! Sorry for being so dumb. This is my first Blazer and my first IFS 4wd vehicle lol.

s10extremist.org I just did this it could be your problem. Have seen it a couple of times. Bit of a PITA and if its not..... very disapointing.

I hope its not that. If it is, then Ill just hot rod it til its finally done and go back to Jeep lol. This thing is starting to give me headaches
