New to 4x4s so I am happy to have this. Had an 88 Chevy S10 Tahoe 4x4 but the 4x4 didnt work (actuator) and I didnt know anything about them at the time.
This is my 92 Chevy Blazer Tahoe LT. Its 4x4 but currently 4x2...
I treid to engage the 4hi and the lights just flashed at me, heard sound from down below, then lights went off.
Found the actuator, moron used a zip tie and mounted it freely on one of the a/c hoses. It was worn out. Took it off to check it...pushed in, held finger over vacuum hole...and it didnt even hold. So I bought a new one, mounted where it was supposed to be, under battery and went out to find some mud.
I couldnt even get the lights to light up. I think if I played with the different gears while trying this, it kinda worked, but not sure.
I finally did get the lights to stay on, but both lights for 4hi/4lo stayed on, and no engagement of 4x4.
What else should I look at? Im ready for some fun!
