Default cv axle shaft seals.

I was reading a site about jeep. Said you have to pull differential to replace axle seals.

I do not need to do that do I ??

Anyone have part number for front lip seal on both sides.
I searched Alldtata but cannot find part number.

Just so no confusion I need the seals where the cv axle shaft connects to diff. if there is one or is seal inside diff??

i beleive wolfpack just changed his cv shafts and seals a while ago and all he had to do was remove the cv shafts to get at the seal, ive got a 2wd so im not to familiar with the 4wd's, but you shouldnt have to remove the whole diff.

All that you have to do is remove the CV shaft and then pop the seal out and carefully install the new seal.

Default front axle seals

Does anyone have a part number for the front cv axle seals. I am confused over what the name of the seals are, like wheel seal, axle seal, oil seal, inner, outer On the pictures I have seen the seal looks way to big on inside diameter. I need the seals that seal the cv axles at the differential.

Better yet where can I get the right seals online.

Thanks in advance.

I believe they're called "axle shaft" seals.

ACDELCO Part # 291324 {#26047378} For an 8.5" ring gear.

Found it at Rock Auto..
