Default CV axles keep breaking! Why???

I found a similar thread but never found a solution... Can anyone help?

98 S10 4X4 with a rough country 2.5 lift.

Driven over a year with no issues (aside from the garbage shocks killing my back)

One day while riding through the woods, it starts popping, I take it home and have two broken front axles.

I immediately replace them both, only to have them break a mile down the road.

I tried different brands, auto zone, Oreillys etc. Each time they start grinding before I even leave the driveway. Sometimes they don't really break thru just seem to be pulled apart.

Is there a fix for this? Apart from completely removing the lift? I love my S10 I'm so aggravated with it to the point that I've just let it sit in the garage for months. I hate to do it and really miss it but I can't get any help from rough country or local mechanics.

Any advice?

Does the rc lift have diff drop brackets? I know it's longer control arms.

The cv axles don't like running at steep angles, but I doubt that would instantly kill them, more like they would just have a shorter lifespan.

What size tires are you running? Accidentally leave it it 4wd on pavement?

There's a few on here with the 2.5" rc lift that can probably chime it, the only experience I have is with the 6" lift, and the drop brackets keep the cv alxes nearly flat

15 inch wide tires? Holy crap lol. I'm sure the CVs love that! Are they breaking in 2wd or only when wheeling?

😂 sorry, 15 inch rims, 10 inch wide.

They grind real bad and eventually break in 2wd or 4wd, more so when turning.

I assume so, I paid a shop to install the lift
A local shop well known for good work. Only thing I can figure is maybe they cranked it too high to fit the 31's

Have you considered trying out the CV Axle's for a ZR2? They are a little longer than non-zr2 CV axles. I ordered a set off walmart last year and had my shop put them on as they did my RC 2.5" lift(Saved a lot of shop labor time)

I'm willing to bet that the shop cranked the Tbars too much. That will kill them faster than anything I know of. Did the kit come with new keys for the T bars?
