Default (Cv Clicking/Clunking) after ball joint replacement

Hello all,


I need a little help..I just replaced my ball joints and after putting the hub back on.. I give it a little turn and notice that the cv was clunking. don't know why ( did I seat the hub wrong or something) ..can anybody help me with a solution to this problem.

this maybe a dumb question was it making the noise before the ball joints were replaced? what year and modle?

No noise at all....I tugged, pull, turn on it to check for cracks. I found a small crack, nothing major. Then i put the hub on, got everything tighten..turn the hub it acted like it didnt want to turn..when it finally turn it was a clicking noise...

98 blazer 4x4

it is posible u didnt quite get the hub seated right you should remove it again and check for any forigen objects that may have comprimised the install , also make sure your upper bolts face up and your lowerbolts face down check your hub actuator really well any magnetic material will be atracted to this area clean well

Check your CV boots I replaced everything in my fromt end and a week later the boot band on the CV joint had come off and the CV joint had no greese
oh..... yea it's was on the right side
$50 to replace the half shaft
ez to replace
