Yes luckily I do have access to a hobby shop that has all the heavy duty tools that I don't have at home, and a body lift bay with air tools to make things easier. Today I'm going to pick up some tranny side seals and some gear oil for the transfer case. This job will also get rid of an annoying ABS Code light. Finally people will stop telling me "Hey your parking brake is on."
"No its not."

haha

I'd have to disagree that the lift would make the CV job any easier...Jacking the front end up and sitting on a mechanics stool was quite nice ...fuel pump on the other hand...a body lift is the best help you can have in replacing one of those Srsly a 4-post lift would be awesome for the fuel pump.

Also I just posted a how-to on the CV replacement!

Awesome WP. I'm gonna go check that out right now. I was planning on doing the picture thing with the CV shafts and the fuel pump much like I did with the water pump/rear hatch/blend door. But if you beat me to it, that just makes my project that much easier!

Wolfpack, what brand did you go with? I ordered these:

CARDONE SELECT Part # 661311 {[CV Half-Shaft Assembly] New}
Front Left; w/o High Wider Package (ZR2); Option Codes are on the Service Parts Identification sticker

and part # 661312 for the right.

I went with a Duralast brand CV. Supposedly they are OEM reman parts..but either way I went with Autozone brand because 1) the lifetime warranty on them is a no-brainer with a t-bar crank, and 2) I've had good luck with autozone parts in the past.

I almost went with duralast but the cardone's were cheaper... and so far I found no bad reviews. I'll be sure to post my opinions of them once they arrive.
Also got some raybestos ball joints to replace both uppers and lowers with aftermarket style. Almost got pitman and idlers arms too, but things were getting a little too pricey.

I'll definitely post how the r2 work was. Thanks for all your replies and that awesome how to for removing the cv half shafts. Excellent work.
