Default CV joint?

Hey guys. I have never worked on anything 4wheel drive related other than replacing a clogged solenoid. I've owned my 96 4door 4.3 4x4 for ten years now though. Guess I can't complain about not working on it much. Anyway. The outside of the front tires are newer but have now warn a lot on the outer lip, when I turn sharply to make a U turn or anything like that I feel a "binding/rubbing" up front and almost like a slipping. Also the steering does not correct itself as it should. Just kinda wants to stay there and turn. Also there is a slight humming coming from front passenger side.

I havent noticed any tears in the boots or grease leaking out. I'm thinking CV but I do not know and or if these symptoms are related. The tires I thought would be alignment but that was a waste. It didn't need it.

If it was a CV, you would hear a clicking during turning, at least with fwd cars. I would think it's probably more to do with ball joints/tie rod ends, etc.
