Just a question is there a detent ring on the CV shaft? I have the one out on my sons truck.

It was leaking and I am wondering if the lack of a ring is why?

Not sure if there is one but there was on the 06 Trailblazer I did for my other son.

 

look inside where shaft fits in the diff sometimes they stay in the inside grove .....

 

After getting my glasses I could see it...duh. I was a different style than what I saw on the Trailblazer
