Default diif problems

yesterday i was driving and my truck started shaking around 40-45mph..when i got home i noticed that my diff is leaking from the cover..today i did a better inspection and noticed it is also leaking from where the drive shaft and rearend meet..i tried to add some fluid but i can get my fill plug out soaked in pb blaster and hit it with some heat and now i stripped it from trying after heating it up..im stuck now i could replace the gasket but how will i fill it back up?any ideas?

You have several options. Remove the cover and drill and tap a new plug using and "pipe tap" ( a tapered tap ) or taking it to someone and have them weld a new bung on or buying a new cover. I would replace the seal at the same time as the dif service and check out your u joints as well. Hope that helps.
