Smile drive train

Hi Fellas. I apologize if I am not posting this in the right place. I have just inherited a 2005 Red 4x4 standard Blazer with 197000 KM,s on it. My problem is the same as Shawn89. When driving in 2 Hi it sometimes makes a terrible noise coming from the right front and when I put it into 4 Hi it goes away, but in 4Hi it makes a clunking noise every now and again, coming from the same place. The check engine light is now on after having been cleared once before. Have checked the encoder and it seems to be working when I switch back and forth between 2 and 4 Hi. I have been reading about vacuum hoses. Are there any on this vehicle or can you point me in the right direction to fix this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Regards. Jim

Any time you have a problem with your Blazer you should start looking here in the Tech Article DIY Section for the solution. It's an awesome repository of information.

The answers for your situation might be in this thread. I hope this helps you find the cause of your problems.
