Default Driver Side Body Mount Frame Bolt

I bought new siderails today from westin and i got the passenger side 2 body frame mounts off and mounted the side rail, i got the driver side rear body mount off but my front is frozen and the bolt is stripped, tried everything from impact to regular socket. WHat is my other option?

Is the bolt stripped or has the mount nut broken free and turning with the bolt?

Are there threads left between the body mount and the shank on the bolt?

If not you cut the bolt and push it up through.....maybe. That might be a little risky if it doesn't work though. Probably more than a little risky..lol

You may end up cutting a hole in the floor and getting to the bolt from the top side and cutting it there.

yea idk, i mean the bolt is still in the frame, i cudnt even get it to budge so it hasnt moved one bit, its still in there it just wont turn, i ended up stripping the hex on the bolt so now when i put a socket to it it just spins on it. When i meant threads i shouldve said the bolt hex not the threads

You could get a set of bolt extractor sockets that would grab onto the stripped head of the bolt...

Use one of the other bolts you have out to go to a store and get a new one. Then either get a cheap socket that fits the stripped bolt or a nut around the same size and have somebody with a welder weld that on and it should come off fine. Might cost you $5 or a coffee.

Yeah. If it's the just the head I'd try welding a nut or some such onto the shank ond go from there. Sometimes a little penetrating oil and some patience or heat will will help. Just be careful with the heat you may melt some manmade materials.
