Default EXTREMELY rough ride!

I was rear ended about a year ago, some chick in a Toyota corolla went under my rear bumper and My frame was slightly bent down. Ever since then I have had a horrible ride. I'm pretty sure there is constant pressure on the strut and that's what's giving me a bad ride. I'm currently running rancho 3000 series shocks.

Now, I was wondering if I could install a shorter shock to alleviate some of the pressure? Or should I just replace the ranchos with a softer shock. Any help will be appreciated. This thing is rattling me to death.

Did you ever get the frame pulled back into factory specs? You must have been hit pretty hard to bend the frame itself. If your frame is out of specs whether smashed or a frame twist, then your vechile will ride differently and your shocks could be in a bind.

I've seen wrecked cars that came in and the shock piston rod was bent and not allowing the shock to operate properly.

I never got the frame realigned because It was bend so little, however the doors were realigned because of some rubbing issues. I never really got a good look at the shock itself. I guess replacing them would probably be the best first step.

You could do that, but if your frame isn't lining up then its still not going got ride correctly. Also, if you got hit hard enough to throw your doors out of whack then I'm sure the frame is more damaged than what you might think.

When you have frame damge the frame will look ok with the naked eye (unless its way off...very bad twist or "crush"). But when you start seeing body lines that are not adding up and especially if it is not riding correctly then I would go and put it up on a frame rack and check out the frame. Just an inch or so out of spec and all things can be easily thrown out of whack.
