front axle seal 97 k1500

Default front axle seal 97 k1500

leaking gear oil from driverside where the axle enters the diff, truck is a 1997 k1500 with if ifs. i know there is no cover on the diff so i need to know if the seal can be changed without taking the diff apart.

all the axles i ever worked on, usually you can just yank the axle shaft stubs out of the housing. they have like this weird clip in there that holds then in place. you just have to pry them out then you just pop out the seal and replace it like a rear axle seal. i just did some on a 95 suburban. should be the same thing.
