Front axles won't disengage?

Thanks once again, I need to get the cable and get back under there to see if there is even an issue to be asking more questions. The cone shaped housing you mention, is this the plastic sensor housing the cable end threads to? We’ll find out later this afternoon?

Yes, that is the housing I speak of. Remove the 3 bolts holding it to the diff. There should be a spring inside there as shown in one of the exploded views in the links I posted above.

Got the Front Axle Actuator Cable replaced and I believe all is good. I appreciate all the help.
I wish the local shops had just a little bit of a clue, $45 fixed what I was told would be $1500.
