Default Front CV's Install

Howdy, I am trying to install new cvs into my 99 jimmy. They were removed prior to me buying the truck.

Drivers side I've removed the tie rod and the shock. There is still no room to contort the assembly into place. It came as one piece.

Any tips on what else may need to be removed? Do I just have to persuade to spindle over the snap ring?

Thanks for any help

You probably will need to separate one of the ball-joints as well to get enough room to get the CV inside the spindle.
