front diff pass. axle tube

BAM...let me see what I can do...its sunday so I have a few things on the honey dew list to take care of, but I will get some pics for you.....
And to everyone else...all the work I did to get the rattle/clunking noise out is still there....so im now thinking it may be the wheel bearing,
But I cant find any noticable play in the wheel.also check the actuator and cable for proper movment, it may not be moving far enough and causing the clicking

well I checked the vac lines and there brand new and I took the vac line off the actuator and it used to have vac all the time. when I got it they had the cable off the actuator. so I found that the vac switch was slow to release if at all sometimes. so took it out and yup it was sticking. put new one in and still clicking in the front end when jacked up and in 4x4. the actuator pulled the cable maby half an inch or more but no more than a inch. and when I went to take the cable out of the front diff I guess the people that had it stripped it out cause it just spins.. no wonder they still had a spare cable in the back. lol
oh to take the axle tube off cant I just unbolt the front cv joint since mine is bolted on instead of push in? then pull the tube off. or is there not enough room to slide the axle tube off. or when you unbolt the tube does it just fall to the ground? thanks

well I got the axle tube off and sure enough it was the collar gear stripped out. heres a video I made of it to help anybody that comes across this thread.. clicking 4x4 repair blazer jimmy sonoma s10 trailblazer front axle - YouTube
mines the older version since it has the flange type cv axles that bolt onto it.

To the OP. Did the slop in the CV at the axle shaft go away with new axle shaft bearing? I have a vibration I get at 65-75 mph and am wondering if its my axle bearing since both wheel bearings have previously been replaced. I do have a slight leak at the tube.

Tmm217....
No play still present when I swapped axle tubes.
And noise is still present....im starting to think it may be the
Motor mount..the noise seemed to have lessened some what
After the new heater core was installed, but I still have a rattle
Type noise...also its a lot of work just for the axle tube..
May aswell replace the lower ball joints while your there.
Bam 9 9 9......
I like the video...great job, and it will help a lot of people.
I wish I had it when I opened up my axle tube....
