Front End Howl
2003 Chev Blazer, 4WD, LS
So about two weeks ago i had a howl that Began around 55 MPH and stoped around 60 MPH. The Noise went away after around a week. I beleve the noise was coming from the drivers side front wheel.
Now when I get over 30 MPH I get a loud howl and it does not go away.
Last Night I put my truck up on stands and ran it. when just the rear wheels are in motion there is not vibration, But when I put the truck into 4WD and put the front wheels into motion then the Vibration/Howl begins. When holding the Drivers side tire from not moving I can see movment inside the CV joint boot. So I beleve it is a faulty CV Joint..
How do I test for faulty CV Joints?
FYI I checked fluid levels in both Front/Rear Differentials and both are full.
Any More input would be Very much appreciated.
