Default front torsion bar lift

I heard someone talking about the possibility of lifting the front end by simply adjusting the torsion bars...
Could someone elaborate on that for me?

I just lifted mine last week. i have an '01 4 door 4x4. Was super easy, just an 18mm socket and possibly a breaker bar for more power to turn but mine was easy. I did 6 turns. I read that 1 turn is 1/4 inch of lift approx. watch how high you lift because it puts more strain on the balljoints and cv's. I might turn mine down 2 turns as the cv's are at a fairly steep angle. you may want to measure your ride height before you crank em up to make sure you dont go too high. 1.5'2 inches is max from what ive read up about it, unless you like changing balljoints and cv's and such....

Ok good stuff! Just picked up shacks for the rear and gonna go ahead and crank up the front. Really doing the whole front end come tax time anyway.
Thanks y'all
