Default g80 adjustment

Hi, I'm new on this forum, i've made some search for this info, but i didn't find anything. My G80 doesn't lock everytime is suppose to . i've heard there is a way to "adjust" the clutch by shimming to be in the spec. But i don't know the spec neither how to shim them... If someone can explain or if you have an "how to" Thanks !

Sorry for my english, I'm from Québec, so i'm french !

BTW, my truck is a S-10 Jimmy 1995

You shim the side gears (the ones that are parallel with the ring gear) such that the backlash with respect to the outer gears (the ones that are perpendicular to the ring gear) is between 0.002 & 0.010".
