I wish I had the money to just put rear and front dana 44's on, then I wouldn't have to worry about this problem

Ok so I have a 96 chevy blazer 4wd 4dr and i want to put lockers on the front and back diff. i dont plan to do any heavy extreme 4 wheeling i just want them for extra traction if i need it with snow mud or whatever i have the aluminium front diff im sure. but would my application of the lockers in the front e to much for my front diff?

The problem isn't when you don't have traction. It is when you do have traction and leave the front axle locked in. the potential exists to really tear up the front diff. A locker in the back will ensure that 3 wheels turn whenever locked in 4wd.

yeah i know a rear diff lock would help a bunch...idk to me though i know if i am kicking my blazer in 4wd the front tires are doing the blunt of the work. i dont want to tear up my front axel and getting my hands on a CI from azr2 would be tricky for me unless i took a pretty long trip. but so if i was looking into a rear locker what is a good brand to get?
