Default halfshaft problem

i recently uncranked the t bars on my jimmy and earlier i hit a bump and the PS side started to make this haggard noise like my rim was rubbing the control arm so i stop and get out and take a look and i dont see anything so i start back on the road and its fine until i hit another bump. i get home and take front wheel off and cant see anything rubbing or anything like that so i re crank my bars (not all the way like it was but still up there) and it does it again but when i put it in 4wd it will stop. im thinking its the halfshaft but ive never heard of one doing this it sounds horrible but it doesnt drag or anything like the truck just cruises. anyone encountered a issue like this before?
