Default Help! Mini trucker down 01 blazer on vacation with the family

Good morning, long time lurker 1st time poster. I have been in an out of the s10/blazer world for 23 years 383 swaps vortec 350 swaps, lowered body mods mostly on s10s but I've had a few blazers. However I got out about 7 years ago when my son was born and recently I bought a 2001 blazer 4 door just something to drive. Well of course the new wore off pretty quick 100000 mile truck 4 door wasn't what I wanted but it fit the bill with a wife and 2 kids. Truck runs great drove great but stock. I couldn't leave well enough alone and ordered a belltech 3/4 drop kit drop coils for the front and 3in leafs and 1in tapered blocks for the rear. Got it all installed went ahead and overhauled the front end as well at the same time. Drove it around town back and fourth to work for 2 weeks no issues. Wife took it to discount tire I had a set of 18in torque thrust installed and got it aligned truck looks great runs great. So we left on vacation yesterday got to our hotel about 5 hours from home and when we got out I noticed I smelled something looked under the truck and it's soaked from the tailshaft to the rear bumper with trans fluid level was showing overfull it wasn't overfull when we left. Also the front end and rear is hitting hard over bumps on the interstate my plan is to pull the rear lowering blocks out today get some suspension travel back and install some air shocks. Has anyone had similar issues with the belltech kit? The rear bump stops were gone but I didn't think much about it obviously I need them. Does anyone know a part number that will work ?

Has anyone had to shorten there driveshaft after 4in drop? Any and all help will be appreciated thank you for your time and help.

Travis

On my S10, it has 4" blocks on the rear. I didn't did the mods to it but have learned that I really need to have the shaft shortened or install some set back plates. My driveshaft has very little play into the transmission. I can't find any good numbers for the rear bump stops/ auxiliary springs that are not discontinued.

I'll second that the first place I'd check if the driveshaft doesn't have enough travel and is bottoming out.

Default Update

Ok so here is an update we made it home, I spent a day and a half in the O'Reilly's parking lot. Removed the blocks found some universal bump stops installed a set of air shocks and the rear is actually really good now I don't know if I will reinstall the blocks or not at this point. I ordered a set of axle setback plates to try and see if it cures the driveshaft issues. My next question is has anyone ran the belltech drop spindles? Any issues if so ? I called belltech and discussed everything that is going on with the truck they were absolutely useless l. They told me that's how it is, install stiffer shocks and it will be fine. I just bought 4 shocks from them for the drop they also said since there used tough luck there yours no refund. Thanks again
