Default How to get better handling

I really haven't ever worried about handling on the road a whole lot. But now I kind of want to try it and see what I can do. So how would I tighten up the body roll on my 01? Just make it handle better in general.

Not sure how much of this applies to Blazers since I know there is a limited aftermarket, but on my Firebird I have subframe connectors (guess a traction bar would be similar?), thicker sway bars, strut tower bar (though I doubt it did anything besides dress up the engine bay), upgraded the lower control arms, springs, shocks, and panhard rod. That car handles like a dream.

Pending on how old your sway bar bushings are, you could replace those. I know I did that before getting the thicker sway bars, and that alone helped noticably on a car that was only 6 years old at the time with 40k miles on it.

The smoother your ride, the more lean you get on turns. The Blazer's actual turning it pretty tight but the high center of gravity coupled with the softer suspension will do you no favors at high speed.

The best thing you can do to reduce lean is to get a taught suspension in place. Your high speed handling won't improve a lot but your truck won't lean to the side as much (it'll just be you.) Overall, there's little that can be done to make the truck handle well. It is what it is.

I find my road holding pretty good - for a truck.
But then I've got my wheels right out flush with the fenders. I've driven a Blazer with stock wheels & it felt awfully loose on the road - mine feel's pretty solid! Until I lift it then I guess things will change.

there really is not much you can do. and where you have lifted the truck its gonna drop your handling...besides stiffer suspeion and maybe get stronger sway bars and get some wheel spacers to make your truck a bit wider your are kinda SOL on handling but why do you need to handle well in a lifted blazer?

wider wheels and tires would help a little bit.
