Default IMPORTANT: Round VS Square

Got the lowering blocks from Summit for neighbor's Bravada. U-bolts are too wide. Went to Advance to get replacements and round ones were not long enough (stockers are round). Is it ok to use square u-bolts instead? Or will it cause too much stress on one point (where the flat part hits the axle) as opposed to the stockers that wrap around the top of the axle? Thanks in advance for any quick replies.
