Default limited slip

I got an 01 blazer xtreme, We just had a huge snowfall and i keep getting stuck every where i go. My Passanger side tire spins in drive and my drivers side tire spins in reverse. But never more than one tire at a time spins nomatter what i do. I thought in a truck like that that ifthe passenger tire was just spining on the ice the drivers tire would pick up and start spining aswell to find traction, however this doesn't happen, only one tire spins.
Ismythoughts on a limited slip rear end wrong, or is somthing wrong with therear end?
Or am i totallyscrewed up and that truck had no limited slip rear end in it?????????

Default RE: limited slip

some blazers got G80 locking rear ends...but most xtremes wouldnt, as they were 2wd. Look in your glove box at the RPO codes, and look for G80. If you see it, you have the locking rear end, and obviously have a problem. If you don't, I'd suggest buying a better truck
