Angry loose a** steering

My steering is loose as hell, like it has horrible alignment. To go straight on the freeway you have wiggle the wheel slightly. Wtf? It has new balanced tires, new tire rods, its had a alignment recently, and new shocks all the way around. Even in town the thing wanders, anyone have an idea what the problem is?

Could be a worn steering gear box, worn components in the steering linkage (inner/outer tie rods or pitman/idler arm joints), or a bad 'rag joint' in the steering column connection to the gear box. You will need to get under the front end while someone moves the steering back and forth to see where the most play is.
