Thanks for all the info. I've found steering box rebuild kits on RockAuto for $30, however I have not been able to find the 'wear parts' i.e. the worm gear or bird foot?? (three toothed gear) anywhere in case those may need replaced. I have looked at the rag-joint which seemed good. Now with the possibility of control arm bushings being worn I better look at those as well as going over everything again.

EDIT: I read that somewhere around '94 or '97 the Astro Vans had universal joints in the steering shafts. Some guys have supposedly swapped these into '80s Camaros/Firebirds. Just letting you know in case it would turn out to be a direct replacement in a Blazer.
